GBH
Hi chaps, I have a Mesa powerhouse 15 cab with a dead speaker, appears to need a recone. I've taken it to my local amp repair specialists who are taking a fair while to establish whether there is a recone kit for it. Do any of you fine gents know if such a thing is available? Chienmortbb
Try Wembley Loudspeakers. They did a recon for me years ago on a driver that had no redone kit. SubsonicSimpleton
Roy Johnston (RMJ Loudspeakers) is also worth a call.
chevy-stu
Depending how old the cab is, you could always try Westside Distribution direct... they sent me 3 new 10" drivers for cab that was about 18 months old that had failed.. Failing that, Wembley Loudspeakers always come up trumps too...
GBH
Apparently there is no recone kit available, and a new driver from Westside is £380!
MoonBassAlpha
Another shout for Wembley Loudspeakers. They will get it done.
VTypeV4
Roy Johnston (RMJ Loudspeakers) is also worth a call.
Roy is excellent, he did a pair of 15" Goodmans a few years back that no-one else would touch and they're still working great plus he did a JBL K140 for me that is also superb.. Not sure what driver is in your cab (possibly an EV?) but I suspect if anyone can sort you, it'll be Roy.
I think the newer Mesa cabs (since early 2000s) have used Mesa specced Eminence speakers.. older ones used alot EV speakers. stevie
I seem to remember Mesa using the Eminence Delta in their 15" cabinets in recent years. So £380 is a bit rich! This Faital Pro 15 will do the trick and save you a bit of weight as well. It's currently on a special low price: <http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Faital-Pro-15PR400-15-Speaker-Driver-400W-8-Ohm-DISPLAY-STOCK-/201542928090?hash=item2eece506da:g:-QUAAOSwwpdW6Wli> Edited March 19, 2016 by stevie
