BrunoBass
This might have already come up but I'd suggest Dance Yourself Dizzy by Liquid Gold. I grew up in Brackley and it was very cool at the time (1980, I was 11) that a band from our little town was on Radio 1 and TOTP. They had a couple of other minor hits but this was the big one. chris_b
I won't suggest Joe Cocker's version of With A little Help From My Friends this time. How about Resurrection Shuffle by Ashton, Gardner and Dyke. The drummer in the band I was in taught Roy Dyke that drum pattern.

lowdown
After doing some Google homework, It seems 'Walking in Memphis' BY Marc Cohn is classed as a one hit wonder. Love the tune and the Piano playing. I am not really one for getting into lyrics, but there are some great lines in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK5YGWS5H84 After more digging, 'The Way It Is' by Bruce Hornsby is also down as a one hit wonder. https://ragmamarag.wordpress.com/tag/one-hit-wonders/ Both similar in style. Again great Piano playing. Seems that apart from Elton John and Liberace, Singing Piano players are a thumbs down in this country.
