cd_david
Hi I'm a big Spector and Musicman fan and I really fancy a Spector MM5. I love the stingray 4 but am not keen on the look of the Stingray 5 so I thought the Spector would be a good hybrid. Has anyone got one/tried one? Thanks in advance for any input Dave
Paulhauser
David, this comes from a fellow Spector player. Haven't tried myself but from what I've gathered the MM pickup is too close to the bridge on the Rebop and it makes the bass a bit thin sounding. Some Spector players installed an extra neck pickup. Again, the MM pickup is NOT in the 'sweet spot' we have come to love with the single pickup Stingrays. cd_david
Thanks for the replies gents. Starting to sound a little disappointing. I just wish there were more in the country to try. Thanks Dave
