yorks5stringer
I'm coming to see Melody Gardot at the Colston Hall tomorrow evening. Anyone know decent parking close by please, I'll be getting there around 7.30 pm I guess? Ta
doomed
There's a big multi storey right behind it, Frogmore street I think it is.Correction Trenchard Street. Edited March 17, 2016 by doomed
gelfin
Plenty of space in the multi storey. The higher up you park the longer it takes to get out. There are more pay machines at higher levels so you may not need to queue at ground level. Also it's a great venue. The only place that sound can be iffy is at the back under the balcony. Maude
As others have said, the multi story behind it. I love the Colston Hall, just a nice size venue and you're never too far from the stage. Have a good time
Bilbo
I used to watch all the touring bands there when I was a teenager. Iron Maiden with Paul Dianno, Trust. Diamond Head, April Wine.. I can't remember many of them it was so long ago but I always loved the venue.

UFO, motorhead, rush, msg, ac/dc with bon etc. We must have been at a lot of the same gigs!
gelfin
First saw Rush there in 1978. Totally blown away.
bartelby
Yep. Trenchard St car park is what you're looking for. Exit is on level 8. If you leave before midnight it's £2.50 (unless you arrive before 6pm, then they charge you day rates...)

BassBod
Yep, that was it. Although it was more a bass/violin duet where I was standing....

BassBod
Yep, it was one of those sets....not exactly a complicated line up, but the sound never really got sorted. We did an unplugged tune for the Songs From the Shed guy afterwards and it was a pleasure to just play acoustically. Still can't hear the bas much, but its there.
