Anyone know Bristol and the Colston Hall?

Plenty of space in the multi storey. The higher up you park the longer it takes to get out. There are more pay machines at higher levels so you may not need to queue at ground level.

Also it's a great venue. The only place that sound can be iffy is at the back under the balcony.

I used to watch all the touring bands there when I was a teenager. Iron Maiden with Paul Dianno, Trust. Diamond Head, April Wine.. I can't remember many of them it was so long ago but I always loved the venue.

me too! My nearest big venue as a teen. UFO, motorhead, rush, msg, ac/dc with bon etc.
We must have been at a lot of the same gigs!

Saxon, Jon Anderson (Song of Seven tour), Trust, Gillan.. it seemed like there was a great gig every week. These were the days when tours were 30 or 40 dates long.

Yep, it was one of those sets....not exactly a complicated line up, but the sound never really got sorted. We did an unplugged tune for the Songs From the Shed guy afterwards and it was a pleasure to just play acoustically. Still can't hear the bas much, but its there.
