New bass day

Am embarking on a Bowie covers project and wanted a Trevor Bolder style guitar. Picked up this beauty. 1973 EB. It's brown through age but upon removing the pick guard I discovered it's original delicious red wine colour. Hope you approve. Andy

Also - when I took off the pick guard, I also discovered an early owners name and address in Edinburgh scratched in along with 1976. How nice.

That's amazing. One of the best live bass sounds I ever heard was one of these through an Orange half stack.

That's almost the twin to my SG Special, but mine is even more faded than that. The original colour was lovely though, I do miss it.
It looks great, and I've never tried one, I'm ashamed to say.

Realised that the strap button is on the back of the body. Means that when worn, the bass tips forward (probably forced by my single six pack). Would you move it? I'd rather but a. Don't wanna desecrate it and b. Not sure where to? Upper horn? Back of heel? Anyone done this? Waddya think? Andy
