Truckstop Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 As above, anyone recommend any decent bass chorus pedals? Or even, any chorus that sounds just as good with bass? Ta Quote
0175westwood29 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I've got a moog clusterflux sounds amazing on bass fat and full, and can also go crazy!! Also have a cog effects chorus based on the boss old brown chorus that sounds really nice however I just use the moog as its just so good. Andy Quote
Truckstop Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 I'm thinking sub-£100! Ha ha would love Moog shizzle but too rich for me at the moment Quote
GazWills Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 MXR analog chorus (not the bass chorus), I think it sounds great, and very decent price. Quote
gazhowe Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016
MXR analog chorus (not the bass chorus), I think it sounds great, and very decent price.
Do you know how this compares with the Boss CEB-3? I have the Boss pedal and would be interested to know if the MXR analog chorus is worth the cost of changing. Quote
Mudpup Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I use a Zoom MS60B - theres a bunch of good modulation effects on there Quote

ezbass Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 2nd hand EBS Unichorus. Chorus, flange or pitch modulation. Wet/dry mix via a trimpot on the board. I've had mine for years; love it. There's one in the FS section right now http://basschat.co.uk/topic/257949-unichorus-ehx-hog-grand-orbiter-two-custom-cogs/page__p__3007778__hl__unichorus__fromsearch__1#entry3007778 Quote

AinsleyWalker Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Tbh the only 'bass' specific pedals worth getting are usually gain based pedals. Most chorus pedals will sound good with bass. I have an MXR Analog Chorus, I don't use it much but it's good. I used to also have a EHX Neo Clone which sounded really nice too. Quote
Hoppo75 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 If you can grab one, the Voodoo labs analogue chorus is superb. Check out Conrad Korsch solo on YT, Rod Stewarts current player and uses that very pedal to great 'effect' Quote
MindGoneBlank Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Source Audio Gemini Chorus is amazing. It's just over your budget but you get phaser, flanger and more thrown in for free! Edited March 24, 2016 by MindGoneBlank Quote
NoirBass Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 This is by far the best chorus I've ever tried for bass. http://www.providence-ltd.com/products/effector/abc1.html Quote
Lightlyseared Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Sub-£100 you might find a used Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus if you're prepared to watch and wait. If you want a vintage type sound (ie no multi-voice or detune type sounds) the MXR analog chorus (or indeed the micro chorus) or EH Small Clone will do that. Quote
HazBeen Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Get an MXR, not the greatest but better than Boss and sub-100. Keeley and Providence make the best choruses imo, but are >100. Quote
Rikki_Sixx Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I picked up an Electro Harmonix Small Clone at the back end of last year and it's lovely. Here's Patrick Hunter demo-ing one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlDsL2lKb-g Mine was 2nd hand and set me back around £20 (might have even been less). Even used they're cracking value, and tough as a tank! Quote
