Dvisions Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 My band, Visions, have a new song out called 'Shake the Earth', from the album of the same name, out 30th May. Check it out here: https://www.youtube....h?v=6kS9CqSE1Zk If you like what you hear, you can pre-order the album at https://visionsuk.bandcamp.com I used a Fender jazz with seymour duncans, and I went old school (in our genre, at least) with the rig, a Mesa big block 750 (ran dirty) with a Bergantino NV610, blended with a Sansamp VT pedal (ran dirtier), no clean DI at all. I think it came out pretty well in the end. Thanks for checking it out, Dave Quote
cheddatom Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 this is ace! Great bass sound! It's probably not appreciated at this stage but that hi-hat is really very loud and there's no way I could listen to a whole album like that on headphones. It's probably fine on speakers though Quote
Dvisions Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 Yeah, it's really cutting. The master is has quite a lot of treble, partly because the rest of the cymbals weren't cutting enough, and an unfortunate result is the hats are quite piercing in places. Annoying, but you're right, it's only on certain systems we've found. Thanks a lot for the kind words though! Quote
