ianrendall
The oft-ridiculed Disco genre provides us bass-types with much groove and many a funk. What is your choice disco flava? To start, I'm really loving this: http://youtu.be/RcYD_jeu1-U

drTStingray
Ah takes me back to my youth!!! But where do you start with these as there are so many. I picked this one because If you went to a club in 77, 78, 79 they would play this monster at least once - monster because you'd need some stamina to dance for that long but people loved it and the bass parts are wicked!! http://youtu.be/EwjZEEsMJaU
BrunoBass
Ooh where to start? Disco Inferno by The Trammps I Shoulda Loved Ya by Narada Michael Walden (TM Stevens on bass) Stomp by Brothers Johnson and Get On The Floor by Michael Jackson (both Louis Johnson) Shack Up by Banbarra All wonderful basslines... bubinga5
Its a genre that i adore, some of the best basslines ever recorded imo. . I just wish i was old enough back then to live in America and go to Studio 54 back in the day. A few not so well known crackin disco records. This is just a fantastic Disco record from Quincy. Kiwi
Disco will never die. It was more punk than punk at the time because it was so inclusive. Sure the clothing got a bit daft but it still stands for good times even 35 years later. Just when the world needed cheering up after the recession, who should pop up but Nile Rodgers. Exquisite timing on his part (or perhaps luck). My faves: I Feel Love - Donna Summer?Georgio Moroder Pretty much anything by Chic Gimme Gimme - Abba Lady Marmalade - LaBelle Givin' Up Givin' In - Three Degrees

spongebob
So many to choose from - so I'll add 'Instant Replay' by Dan Hartman, and the entire first two albums by Mcfadden and Whitehead - classics.
