The-Ox Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I like loads, Jim Morrison, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey being my favourite 3. All vocalists for Pink Floyd (except Waters) sound amazing too. I think this demp of Pete however might be my favourite vocal performance of all time. Granted i was high when i first heard it, but given the context, its extremely powerful and his best vocal display in my opinion. Well worth a listen https://youtu.be/SegdtSBywVE Quote

Nicko Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 No such thing as a favourite voice. My music choices are eclectic, and voices should fit the music. How would you choose the best voice from Neil Diamond, Chris Cornell or Alfie Boe? I'll happily (or not) sit down and listen to a "great" singer like Alanis Morisette, or an absolutely awful one like Billy Bragg depending on my mood. Quote
KevB Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) Don't think Steve Walsh has been mentioned. At his peak he certainly had a set of pipes on him. Can't pick him as my all time fave though, there are too many I like a lot. Edited March 31, 2016 by KevB Quote
lefrash Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I definitely go through phases but just now it's Chris Cornell for me. I really like Ritchie kotzens voice too. It's got better with age. Quote

bubinga5 Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) i vote for a young Michael Jackson. His voice for a 9 year old and the power and control he has is very very special. I've never heard any voice that has this much presence in older singers, never mind a 9 year old. Its funny i really love his voice more back then, than i do when he was singing later in his career.. His voice on this record is natural and beautiful. Proper Michael imo. Just incredible talent. Edited April 2, 2016 by bubinga5 Quote
