police squad
a ha! He's been in touch and he's seems very helpful etc. I fancy a Fenderbird as I've got a gig coming up playing as a Who tribute
Kevsy71
Seems ideal for a tribute: certainly more affordable than a Mike Lull (which looks amazing)! Muzz
Lovely as it is, the Mike Lull isn't a Fenderbird...just saying...
Kevsy71
Indeed! Sorry I completely missed that. In fact I hadn't heard the term 'Fenderbird' before, now reading up...
Bassassin
I remember these from BW a few years ago, the guy in the link above got a batch built for some forum members. Bach do - or at least did - some nice stuff, including rather lovely interpretations of certain Basses That Must Not Be Named. Or at least, sold on BC... Jon. BigRedX
Lovely as it is, the Mike Lull isn't a Fenderbird...just saying...
It kind of is though, on account of it being a bolt-on rather than through-neck.
Byo
I have had a look at both numberone and Bach's homepages and they look like decent instruments. The EB2 and the Spalted Maple PBass caught my eye and the price is cheaper than Squier. Let us know how it plays if you decide to get one. discreet
I'm seeing WAY too many affordable basses I like the look of. Please stop posting them.
Bassman Sam
The most knowledgeable forum would be the Last Bass Outpost, as some members worked quite closely with B&CH to get these things built. Eyguitars, the purveyor of cheap Chinese hardware, have some nice reproduction '60s Thunderbird pickups. I think they now do them in nickel finish, and with two different output ratings. I would buy the B&CH and then retrofit the Eyguitars pickups, if it were me.
Which impedance would give the best results. I'm thinking of putting a couple of these in my Pbass as a cheap Mike Lull alike.
basskit_case
There is a Fenderbird TB too, must be the newer model: http://www.numberoneguitars.com/shop/index.php/basses/ft-01-or-tb.html

Qlank
I have 2 B&CH basses. John Hall would not be impressed.
