Beautuful bass man, what's the width at the nut and the neck profile? Being as I've never played a Gibson bass what sort of tone do they give? Seriously thinking about convincing the better half that I need this bass

Nut width is 40mm. Profile is according Gibson "rounded". Guess its between a flat C and a thick D. Very comfortable.

Great basses, nice and light (I have one). With flats mine gives a really solid compressed tone at low volume. Easy to get the Andy Fraser / Jack Bruce tone and it also records really well with DI. I also polished mine with wax which has given a great finish in my view.

What kind did you use? I might give it a shot on mine (it's the chocolate finish).

Amazing basses by the way, they pretty much play themselves. Short scale plus contoured small body = most comfortable bass I've ever played.
