davegriffiths91
Anybody got experience with this? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAZZ-BASS-WIRING-LOOM-with-series-parallel-push-pull-pot-with-VARITONE-/252328299607?nav=SEARCH I'm tempted just as a cheap upgrade to a Vm jazz I have, I've upgraded the pups and other bits so it's only the wiring/preamp that needs upgrading. I can't afford a John East or anything of the like so I am looking for something on the lighter side of my wallet!
hubrad
The description sounds like it's a series -parallel switch rather than any kind of preamp. A useful mod.. you can do it yourself using a push-pull pot, as long as you're happy to have a go at soldering. Plenty of wiring diagrams on the Web. Otherwise pay this chap for the full kit. If you are up for the experiment, it's an easy wiring job to put the pups in series to see if you like the sound.
