KevB
Well respected session guitarist before he became a star in his own right and went on to have a glorious career. It's a terrible shame when a disease like this just takes away the person the family has grown up loving. I was reading about his current state in the paper yesterday, he can't really recognise what a guitar is for anymore let alone play it. Very sad indeed. casapete
According to Wiki, he was a member of 'The Wrecking Crew', and also played bass for the Beach Boys and Ricky Nelson. RhysP
A superb guitarist, singer & songwriter. I've seen him live a few times over the years, and he really cuts loose on guitar in concert. I saw him on his farewell tour, after his Alzheimers had been made public (His family had decided to announce it as he was beginning to forget lyrics & things when playing live, which led to stories about him starting to drink heavily again). I've never been to a gig where there was so much love shown for the person on stage. It was a very moving & poignant evening as his band is made up mostly of his children who were all looking after him. By the end of the night there really wasn't a dry eye in the house. leftybassman392
Yes - a very skillful all-round musician and a much better guitarist than people gave him credit for: Edited March 27, 2016 by leftybassman392

leschirons
Saw him doing a guitar duel with Jerry Reed on a show years ago. A lot of non musos sadly seem to to remember him just a singer songwriter but he was a serious musician. Real shame.

JapanAxe
His 2008 covers album Meet Glen Campbell is excellent - great choice of material, quality delivery. A true musician.
spectoremg
Wichita Lineman on the radio when I was a kid - still one of my favourite songs. Saw him on Later a couple of years ago after he'd been diagnosed and he was still great.

Even then, made the hairs on my arms stand up. Brilliant! A true star and a true musician.
