spongebob
I've used the 'short' Mono comfort straps for a while, find the okay, despite them always losing position! At last night's gig, I noticed it was splitting on the strap button end. It survived the gig, but it's for the bin today. Looking for a new one, I noticed they now sell the 'Doolittle' - anybody tried one? Also, any good alternatives to the Mono? I experimented a few years ago with a different design, and it was, quite frankly, a disaster! Where to from here?
RJ87
I use a Comfort Strapp and think its great. I bought it as I have a ridiculously heavy bass and needed a wide, padded strap as my usual cheapo jobby just wasn't up to the job. It came to a choice of it or the MONO and I've got no regrets about my choice.

fretmeister
Neotech Mega Bass Strap. I sold my others when I got them. Lovely things for my terrible back.
Evil Undead
I really like my DSL strap. 2.5" wide, leather, padded, was about £35 on eBay EDIT: this one - http://www.dslstraps.com.au/product/premium-straps/padded-garment-blackblack/ Edited March 27, 2016 by Evil Undead

hubrad
I really like the Mono straps, not least because at last there's a leather-free high quality strap. Send me your unwanted ones! :-D

neepheid
A bit late to the party, but another +1 for the Neotech Mega Bass strap, nice wide bit of grippy neoprene, really spreads the weight nicely. http://neotechstraps.com/mega-strap.html
dannybuoy
I had a Mono strap and it went straight back, too slippery! Same goes for leather staps similar to the DSL one posted that have smooth leather on the underside. I've always gone for Levy's leather straps with a suede backing as they stay firmly in place, but these Neotech ones look good, I might try one! Maude
Am I the only one who doesn't like a grippy strap?
Delberthot
I've had my Brooklyn Gear strap for about 10 years and it's been great but I'm finding it a bit less cushiony than it used to be. Wonder if the neoprene eventually compresses over time so it offers less protection? So I've just ordered a Neotech one
Norris
Another vote for the Comfort Strapp here. Comfortable and bomb-proof
LayDownThaFunk
Anyone complaining about the Mono slipping, attach an elastic band before the buckle so it can't move anywhere.

I've still my other Mono on my other bass - I'm going to see how this goes, and if I prefer it, may well Marketplace the Mono, and get a matching pair. mr.noisy
I have changed my basses so many times over last few years, but I still have the same Comfort Strapp I bought. I just realised it now, i have it like four or five years now and the padding is as good as it was when I got it.

A.G.E.N.T.E.
I was searching for comfort strapp and found this at thomann. Is this the same produt, only rebranded? EvilSmile
If you want more balanced support than the comfort strap - http://www.gruvgear.com/duostrap-neo i've been using one since january. Whilst a little fiddly to initial setup to the right length, i now can't go back to using a standard single shoulder strap without feeling a huge increase in tension from the weight of my bass. Marvin
I bought a comfort strap a couple of years ago and was thoroughly unimpressed with it. I thought it was overpriced for what it was. It couldn't take the weight of a light bass without the strap slipping a bit. The button holes don't seem to be very durable either, I suppose if you use strap locks they might be ok, but other than that mine become very shabby after about 9 months of use. I wouldn't buy another. I've since changed to a wide padded Levys strap which has proved to be much better.
