Dread Bass
Hi Just got my bass out of the bag for the first time since the gig on sat and the neck has shifted so now all the strings are aginst the first few frets. It got left in the car i think but i thought it would be ok cause it was an indoors car park. i will leave it tonight out the case see if it remedies its self if not i guess its going to the sho. ive adjusted truss rods before but never anything this extreme so would rather have someone who nows ewhat theier doing do it. YouMa
Dont loosen the strings,or mess with the rods it sounds like the fibres in the wood have shocked and contracted,it sounds stupid but the slightly colder weather and raised humidity is a big factor, put it flat on the bed in a warm room and leave a bowl of water quite near.Leave it a couple of days and then make gentle truss rod adjusting.Hope this helps.
