Does the 18V adapter mean you can power this with a standard 9V daisy chain?

Don't think it works on 9v Lee .. I've edited OP to 'psu' rather than adaptor. I've lent it out to a mate to see if he wants it but when/if I get it back I'll test it at 9v but pretty sure it wont works (properly)
