MrBevans54
I have a Mega bass cabinet, which is in itself a flight-case. 2x15 inch Gauss speakers, the model being 5840's. I acquired from Nick Lowe. Cabinet is stencilled Rock Pile Case 4. Was wondering if anybody could give me anymore information on this cab/company?

HazBeen
Nick Lowe used to be in a band called Rockpile. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockpile This was their 4th flight case, clearly. Since Rockpile split in '81 I would think your cabs are late '70s. Gauss (Cetec) 5840 speakers were the dogs dangly bits back in the day, people often used them as bass bins in PA systems due to their power handling. Nice bit of '70s history I'd say!
