rainbowreality Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Hello there, I've been looking for the wiring diagram for my Indonesian made tribute. Apparently the wiring differs from the USA made L2000's. I need one because one of the wires from the series/parallel switch has come away and I've no idea where it goes! I've looked everywhere with not much luck, can anyone kindly assist? Edited April 3, 2016 by rainbowreality Quote
ikay Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Can you post a pic showing the loose wire? The attached pic may help Edited April 3, 2016 by ikay Quote
rainbowreality Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Hi Ikay, cherers for your reply. I've tried taking a couple of pictures of the wiring, It's pretty messy in there. Looking closely it looks like they've not done the best job of soldering in the factory! Quote
neepheid Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Does this lovely diagram from bassesbyleo.com help (click on the image for a pdf for easier reading)? The only differences in the wiring Tribute vs. USA are the different pots, the physical orientation of the switches and the lack of little terminal brackets to wire earths to on the pots. The USA L-2000s since about 2006 do not have OMG mode capacitors, but that was a difference if you're comparing a pre 2006 USA with a Tribute. If you want to go even further then this document goes into some detail on the switch, as well as some cool mods (I got the 4PDT on-on-on switch and wired mine parallel, single coil (inner), series) http://www.ifb.co.uk...w/GL_Wiring.doc Hope that helps. rainbowreality Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Cheers Neepheid!I had seen that schematic but wasn't sure if it applied to tributes so thanks for clarifying that. I was going to attempt the repair myself but seeing how messy it his inside I'm kinda hovering whether to take it to a engineer instead especially as the toggle switches aren't standard so I wouldn't want to screw it up!
