yamaha BB 2000 & 1600

This is a thread that has been done, but not for a while.
I just wondered what opinions folk have of current value of a BB 2000, and BB1600. Let's say both are early eighties MIJ and in good condition.
I'm considering swapping my Sandberg California VM 4 for a Really clean BB 1600, and I fancy a BB2000 too because I can 👍. I think it's tricky to value these Yammies. Any thoughts?

vintage MIJ Yamaha - you would have spend two or three times the price they sell for to get similar quality of another maker.
Why they go for so little is a mystery to me.

I have a BB1000S and also don't know the current market value for it. '85 MIJ necktrough, best sound i've heard from any P and P/J that have gone through my hands. BB basses are very underated but don't spread the word...

Can't go wrong with a good BB2000 (or BB1200).  Spent a couple of years searching to get mine.

I have a bb1000s too, 1985 it sounds great and is a solid old bass
