Nice review from BCs own Happy Jack here:

No trades I'm afraid.

I'm in the Manchester area but travel frequently.
Collection preferred but may be able to deliver and happy to meet up with potential buyer.

Hi,
What's the scale length on these? I looked on the KK website but I couldn't find it - is it similar to a typical 3/4 acoustic upright (41 1/4 inch or so).
Also, what strings have you got on & have you tried different strings? I understand these basses have to have steel strings for the mag pick up. I saw this review of a KB1 with a 'jazz setup', but there's no detail about what that actually means.

Thanks

Hi Pete

It is 41.5" scale so 3/4 length.
I'm not sure what the strings are to be honest. They may well be the ones supplied by KK.
I never got around to trying different strings as it was my first time with an EUB so I used it as it is.

Not got around to playing one of these yet. Wish you were a bit closer, so I could have a try
Do they sound very DB-like? Or are they more like a big fretless Bass Guitar?

Posted

I would say it's much more upright like than fretless bass, with the added bonus of no feedback due to the installed pickup.

It's a shame as I frequently travel to and from South Wales !

However the Babybass is now sold.
