Now in stock at Bass Direct: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Soundblox_Aftershock_Bass_Distortion.html

Tons of distortion models (more than the OFD) a comprehensive editor app, ability to blend any two models in parallel or output in stereo, and presets. If the Darkglass model it has is actually any good then that will be worth the price alone!

Oh, at last! A SourceAudio pedal that doesn't look f***ing horrible.

Looking at it very seriously. I couldn't bear to buy the OFD purely because it looked awful.

hahaha ..... that was the same as my reasoning

Another video review:

The blended Muff/Rat at the end sounds immense!

They're in stock at Prymaxe, I could order from there and save a few bob but would end up with a US power supply, so will hang onto my Bass Direct pre-order. Too busy to play with the thing anyway and this looks like a real time-sapper!

Not one but two Darkglass models in this thing, one more modern and one more mellow!

I could see me having one of these on my board. First pedal, giving me a choice of boost (clean or dirty), B3K bite or tube drive. I was checking the chorus/flange/phase pedals out too. A guitardist mate of mine is salivating over the tremolo pedal.

Agreed, the Nemesis is pricey. But the drive & modulation pedals are very reasonable considering their extensive capabilties. What I don't get is why they released three drive pedals and three modulation pedals, because if you buy one you get all the effects of the other two. The only difference is which colour you want to have.

The majority of people probably won't even touch the editor (not everyone's as geeky as us lot!) so they need a bunch of presets for each unit that sound good in the shop I suppose.

Still waiting for mine...

  • 4 weeks later...

So, has anybody here got their hands on an Aftershock yet? I pre ordered mine six weeks ago but I'm still waiting for it. I just checked online and Thomann and DV247 are showing them in stock at the moment.

After watching the demo I decided that I definitely need it. Now I just need to put myself through months of hell saying "You have enough dirt pedals, save your money"... probably easier than pre-ordering then having to endure the torture while your money sits in someone else's account

Welcome to my world lol. I've never had to wait this long for a pedal :)
