Stance Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Hello, First of all, I think I've posted in teh right category, otherwise, feel free to move it to the correct section Now, I have the chance of buying a Klarl Teknik LBB100 Active DI, for 40 pounds - is it worth it? Will I get a nice clean tone out of it? Thanks! Cheers from Portugal Alex Quote
rmorris Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Assuming it's working correctly it will be a good high quality DI and also be well constructed to real 'pro audio' standard. Note that it does need phantom power from the mixer to operate. Quote
Stance Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Hello, Thanks! The idea will be to use it on my live rig (sub for whatever DI the sound crew has). Quote
rmorris Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 So you just need to verify that the XLR from the desk has phantom power. It seems that there isn't an option to power from battery or AC / DC Adaptor. Quote
Stance Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 I wasn't even considering an external adapter, as all boards I work with had phantom power. But thanks for your concern Quote
rmorris Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Sounds good. And I reckon it's something of a bargain @ £40 Enjoy the Fado... Quote
Stance Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 With all due respect, to hell with Fado... Sorry but I'm not the average Portuguese - I'm more of rock/pop/funk/reggae/afro guy (but no Fado!) Quote
