Possibly the best groove bassist, great pianist, her lyrics are profound. but i miss her early music. Plantation Lulabiies, and my favourite, Peace Beyond Passion. that album is in my top 5. its just incredibly well produced, played. just superb. NoirBass Posted April 10, 2016 Share Posted April 10, 2016 I also love early Meshell stuff, but from Bitter onwards it's always taken me a few goes before I settle into a new Album of hers. Now Bitter, Comfort Woman, TWHMMTMOMD, Devils Halo and Weather all feature in my top 20 for different reasons. I've also seen her live on each tour since Peace beyond passion and that always helps me to appreciate and start to understand each reinvention. Now, when she releases a new album I'm looking forward to seeing which direction she has taken.
