Impressed by a Sandberg TM5

Went to try a 90's stingray today at the Great British Bass lounge (hopefully more on that later).

I played my Jazz at a gig last night and decided that having left a Fender Custom Shop Jazz hanging on a wall at home because I favour my other meant it was a call to rationalise the herd.

I've missed my stingray (this 90's one will be my 5th, hopefully).

And I've also missed my 5 string low B.

I had seen a Used Stingray 5 last month at the GBBL and had hoped I could do a deal on that and the other one with My CS jazz.

Anyhow, I tried 2 Sandberg 5's, both new but the older Fender shape - both were California TM-5's.

Very impressed with these basses - the last couple of Sandbergs I played left me a bit nonplussed.

Maybe my tastes have changed? Maybe my ears have changed or maybe the two I tried are just very good examples.

Waiting for a call from drew at GBBL to see if we can do a deal.

Dangerous having him literally 10 minutes walk away.

Anyone else had an epiphany or change of heart with a certain bass or brand?

Exactly this!

It was just a chance "parts or not working, needs a clean" listing off eBay with really bad photos. It totally blew me away to the extent that I had the bass doc make me one
