karlfer Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016
A typical pub classic rock band, though they're about 30 years younger than most that you see around here . Why has the bassist removed his shirt ?
You're going to the wrong pubs fella Quote
ras52 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016
Kids playing a song badly... reminds me of when I was 16 or 17 and trying to play Metallica songs after about 9 months of picking a guitar up. At least we didn't video any of our efforts which seems to be the main problem here. This classic, however, is on a different level because they're playing it in public: https://www.youtube....h?v=FjeMDvCdrtc EDIT: OK, now I'm looking for crap covers on YouTube...
I don't really use YouTube & I really don't understand the appeal of it so I probably wouldn't have used it even if it was available when I was young. Having said that, you have no control over other people posting stuff you're in so I am very glad it didn't exist when I was young. Quote

Roger2611 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I'm too scared to look, I have been around the site for a while now and fell for the infamous Japanese guy playing the bass in a dress picture, I can never un-see that so if I don't look at this video it is not something I have to worry about un-hearing it Quote
Bobthedog Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Sadly this is almost on a par with the OP's find. https://youtu.be/B5NoXaSajq0 Great quote: "Complex tempos, rough but beautiful vocals, amazing tone, these guys have it all. FinnDave Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I find the title of this thread 'I just hacked off my ears with a rusty bread knife' to be insensitive and offensive. No one should ever neglect a bread knife to the extent that it becomes rusty. Quote

Paul S Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016
No one should ever neglect a bread knife to the extent that it becomes rusty.
That is true. With gentle treatment and careful cleaning a bread knife can last at least a couple of generations, if not 3. But even when they have come to the end of their useful working span in the kitchen they can be given a new lease of life as a garden implement. I have several 'rescue' bread knives in my shed - they are the perfect thing for slicing through soft fleshy growth, such as old banana plant leaves. Quote
squire5 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I like the bass players concept. If your a bassist/vocalist you only need to play when you're not singing, and vice versa.I cant help wondering what they thought of that performance.Maybe it was their first time playing together.I noticed the lead guitarist got the opening riff pretty much spot on.Give them time.
