Hi guys,

Just sorted my music room out and am on the hunt for a nice stand that will take two basses comfortably.

Has anyone got any recommendations? What's on the market these days? Hercules still the go-to stand for this application?

Cheers

This really depends upon how it's going to fit into your room. You can get double guitar stands where they are back to back, which might not work if you wanted to put it in a corner. You can also get double guitar stands where one is in front of the other, and depending upon where you place it, that make it hard to get the back one out. Then there are the guitar stands where they all go in a line, which are very space-efficient, but they tend to be for 5 or more.

Also depends on the shapes of the basses. While the Hercules models will fit most basses, if your instruments don't have asymmetrical bodies there will be more options available to you.

Well it would be for a Spector euro and a Fender P.

I think I'd rather go with the back to back double stand so I'm guessing the Hercules would be the likely candidate? Anyone with a similar set up?

Though I like the idea of a traditional 'in a row' stand as well.

Cheers guys

Is this only for home use? Sometimes having two separate stands gives you more options for fitting them in on stage, and if there is a catastrophe it is less likely to affect both instruments.

If you have the space, the Hercules is the go to stand, I reckon. However, even though I use one of those on stage, at home I use wall hangers.
