Shockwave
Hello all. Love my Paulownia jazz bass. But the finish was essentially done by a child. Matte black primer with glued on sparkles with no protection whatsoever. Well, time to break out the spray paints! Never attempted a paint finish before. Had to cut back loads on the white as I don't have decent facilities to do this in. It looks fairly good up close! The back is suffering from wood blisters due to a heat gun issue, but hell it looks all right for a rattle can job!</div> Just getting started on the Acrylic Lacquer spray finish. Never done it before, so should be an interesting process! Apart from the Wizard Jazz pickups I had put in it, I am adding a heavy duty no-name bridge, All new Switchcraft and CTS Pots. PlungerModerno
Not my personal favourite finish (I'm not a fan of the team in question, so no surprises there!) - but it's a big improvement on the stock finish. It would have been nicer left flat black than covered in that "glitter" finish.
TheRev
Nice job, just don't use it on a gig in south Bristol.
Si600
I was going to do a Northampton Saints one. But I didn't get round to it and and sold the bits. There's a P-bass neck on here somewhere with a yellow faced headstock
