bubinga5
My sister had this on in the car today and it is awesome. The bassist is Hubert Eaves on an MTD i believe. ,The whole album is fantastic. Ive had the album for years but it really hit me today how good it is.. its just cracking walking bass at the start, then his laid back groove throughout is very cool. ambient
It's an MTD 6 string, I think the actual bass he used was for sale on here a couple of years ago.
CokeyW
Fab live album, one of the best. Bass is so solid and huge it has its own gravitational field. Anyone who doesn't know about Badu ought to check out Pino's playing on Mama's Gun too.
TKenrick
Definitely one of my favourite albums (and recorded bass tones) ever, stays in my glove box permanently for the drive home from gigs. Poogie Bell's kit also sounds amazing throughout. Has anyone got any pointers for other albums with Hubert Eaves IV playing? I did some digging a few years back but couldn't come up with much more than a couple of smooth jazz albums...
