LayDownThaFunk
I bought an OBBM cable as my 'main' lead... 7 years later and still going strong throughout countless gigs.

ahpook
I'd say learn to make your own, it's easy and I have cables I made 10 or 12 years ago going fine. It's fun and solder smells..hmmmmm. I have a few of OBBM's cables as well and they're great too ! Edited April 20, 2016 by ahpook
Rich
My two main leads are a pair of Klotz cables I bought in 1986. Still going strong.
JTUK
I get my local studio to make mine which means quality cable and connectors....Klotz and Neutrik. I'll use OBBM too.
Bo0tsy
+1 for designacable I like the neutrik with sommers braided cables
+2 for designacable. The Silent Neutrik Jacks and Van Damme leads are great quality and good value. You can get them through eBay too. luckydog
My 2p worth: get a good quality lead that's quiet, long enough, tight fit in sockets, and plan to keep it. Always use it, think of it as part of the rig. Don't lose it! LD
skidder652003
Another OBBM fan here, needed a monster thick speakon for my valve amp to speaker, supplied a superb cable, not too expensive, twice as good as anything commercially available. Musashimonkey
OBBM for me. Had many leads, but his are certainly top notch. And getting exactly the right length you need cant be understated.

Malcspring1
Have ordered an OBBM. Just waiting for it to arrive. I recently got a speakon Designacable one to connect my amp and cab together. They seem to be working well.

BigRedX
Again it's a case of using the right tools for the job. On stage unless it's tiny or you like to stay stood right by your amp, you can't beat a good wireless system. However in the studio it's good quality (OBBM) leads all the way. mr.noisy
Another bad experience with Fender Custom Shop (Tweed) cables. I bought one and it broke after 2 or 3 months after I got it. I had some unbranded lead for years before someone broke it and I thought that this one is going to last years. I went to the shop that I bought it from hoping for a replacement but they were making excuses, and I do not have a patience for that kind of service, just wont use them again, and then I bought a cheapo Stagg cloth wrapped lead and so far is good and I bet it will last much longer than the Fender. Dan Dare
As others suggest, people such as OBBM and Designacable are good. They use quality components (but not silly money stuff) and charge a fair price. I'd beware of being persuaded to spend grilions on jewellery cables. The hifi world has gone mad in recent years over snake oil cables, solid gold plugs and the like. They offer minimal benefit at best (and certainly do not justify the prices charged). Malcspring1
Well after many recommendations I bought one from OBBM. Bombproof build quality fast delivery and to say that it is a top notch cable it was very reasonably priced. Thanks to all for your assistance. I really appreciate it. rushbo
Tardy to the party, but I've always used these guys - initially because they're a local business, but subsequently because their cables are brilliant quality and keenly priced.
