I thought this was interesting and great value. Cant think where they got the design from :) and not sure how relible it would be. Also 500ma for 8 outputs dosnt seem like that much.

Due to the cheapness I'd be inclined to say the latter, but hey, let's hope I'm wrong!

It's the digital pedals that you have to watch out for. A digitech jam man is 1300mA for example.
