Dread Bass
I thought this was interesting and great value. Cant think where they got the design from and not sure how relible it would be. Also 500ma for 8 outputs dosnt seem like that much. cheddatom
Do they mean 8 x 9v with 500ma each? Or 8 x 9v sharing 500ma? The latter wouldn't be great!

Dread Bass
im with higgie. I still think its quite good value tho if you need a 12v output
bass_ferret
If its 500ma each thats probably more juice than any other power supply on the market so I think it unlikely.

bass_ferret
Problem is there is nowhere to find more info with Harley Benton being Thommans own brand - it does give the impression its 500ma per outlet. It is like a T-rex fuel tank (but a bit bigger) for a quarter of the price. The Fuel Tank is 1,500ma total.
bass_ferret
Just zoomed the picture - it is 500ma total (Max Combined current for all 9v DC outputs: 500ma).
Kev
8x 9v at 500ma would still work for most pedals, certainly would be fine for 8 boss pedals or similar, wouldnt it??

So draw almost nothing. My EBS MBII draws 10ma. 15ma if using phones.
umph
aye it should be fine unless your running valve pedals off it or something with a similar draw, but they would generally come with there own power supplys anyway
Kev
most modern solid state pedals these days hardly ever go over 50ma, its only big digital pedals or as said valve pedals that demand 100ma plus, and these sorts of pedals almost always come supplied with their own supply

A digitech jam man is 1300mA for example.
Kev
so are DHA pedals, but im assuming the jamman comes with a power supply?? as of course batteries cant possibly feed 1300ma
joegarcia
Yea, the Jamman has its own AC supply. Don't think you could run it off anything similar to the Power Plant as they don't tend to do AC. Having said that, the Line6 modeller pedals (DL4, FL4, MM4 etc) run off 9v AC supplys and apparently work ok from a DC supply. Not tried it though.
