Yamaha Attitude Plus bass - what truss rod to adjust neck?

Hi, I just bought one of these basses and I'm very happy with it, but it could do with a few tweaks to get the setup to my liking.

It didn't come with a truss rod and Yamaha UK were, well, unable to do anything bar pass me along to Sontec. They told me they'd never had a request for a truss rod before, and would need to check with Yamaha to see if they can even give me information relating to truss rod type and size if they don't have any available.

Would anyone know what tool I need and where I might get one?

Yeah, I think you're more likely to be talking truss rod tool or your neck would probably be banana'd by now.

I'm not sure why I didn't think of the attitude forum on Face-ache as I'm a bloody member of it!

Is it not just a standard allen/hex key? If so you can pick up an entire allen key set for a few quid and that should give you one for both the truss rod and the bridge saddles as well.

The guys on the Faceache page informed that the tool for the job is an 8mm hex/allen key.

I'm sure it'll be the very thing.
