interpol52 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 (edited) I stumbled on this. I must have watched it about 50 times this week, simply flawless. I don't even like this kind of music normally but Jesus this is amazing. The harmonies in the first song. http://youtu.be/jFycqnOpifQ Should be in off topic maybe? ratman Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 That is stunning. Amazing playing and vocals to die for. Quote
Qlank Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Saw them on the Jools Holland show a while back, bought the album the next day. Love this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGpAyS5D9lw Quote
RhysP Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) Love Nickel Creek. Chris Thile especially is an amazing musician. Edited April 25, 2016 by RhysP Quote
NickD Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Not a massive country/bluegrass fan, but the self titled Nickel Creek album hasn't been off my phone since I bought it. I was learning a bit of Mandolin, and a friend recommended it, and it's a class act. Chris Thile's album with Edgar Meyer, Bass & Mandolin is worth checking out too... it's an odd combination, but works well. Quote
lowhand_mike Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) not my sort of thing usually, and as it started i thought it wouldnt last long but just couldnt turn it off. very good edit to say, that last song just wow so technical and flawless Edited April 25, 2016 by lowhand_mike Quote
ratman Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 I've been blown away with Nickel Creek, and after much googling I ended up watching Chris Thile nailing some Bach. I recommend you watch it all, it's only 15 minutes, as the last part is jaw droppingly technical. This guy is as good as it gets on the mandolin.
