New Spectorcore with Bartolini pickup

Any one tried / bought one of these yet? Seen one advertised and theSpector website now lists two new colour finishes, natural and walnut. Natural looks ace!

Most dealers seem to be still selling the old model with EMG pickup and don't seem to be discounting them to sell them off.

Personal preference I guess. They've always sounded brittle for (lack of a better) word to me

When you look at the list of Premium luthiers who use them one is tempted to conclude that many if not most people think. Highly of Bartolini. I have never had a bass with them fitted, not sure if I have even played one, but have listened to a few being played by others and generally they sound good to me. So my question stands, anyone tried these on the new Spectorcore?

Oh yeah, I wasn't stating they were bad. Just that I've never got on with them myself. They don't suit me

Slightly OT but I saw Fish's bassist playing one of these last week - a fretless fiver - and it sounded glorious. Not sure if it was EMG or Bart though.
