lloyd1979_uk Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 (edited) For sale is my Traynor YBA300 300W all valve bass amp. This is a great amp with amazing tone, however as I'm not gigging at the minute I can't really justify keeping it. The amp is in excellent condition as you can see in the photographs and it comes with a soft cover to offer some protection in transit. The amp is very well designed and user friendly. The controls are well thought out and allow a wide range of tones without needing to move dozens of knobs or sliders, and the individual bias adjust on the rear of the amp allows you to adjust the bias as required (with LED indicators to let you know if the valves are running hot/cold). The impedance selected switch allows you to select either a 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms speaker load, however Traynor state that it is also fine to run the amp into an 8 Ohms load which will give you 250W. In order to do this you just need to set the switch to the 4 Ohm setting. The full specs are as follows: -All Tube Bass Amp -300W @ 2/4 ohms switchable (250W into 8 ohms) -Comes Stock with 3 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7 and 12 x 6L6 Tubes -6L6 Tubes Can Be Swapped for EL34's for Different Amp Character -Player Friendly Individual bias adjust with indicator LEDs for Output Tubes -Tube Lockout for each Pair of Output Tubes removes damaged tubes from signal path allowing amp to continue operation in emergencies) -Simple and Effective Gain, Bass, Sweep-Mid, Treble and Master Controls -Deep, Bright, Resonance Tone Shaping Controls -Pre/Post EQ DI Output, Effects loop, Tuner Output -High and Low Level Inputs for Active or Passive Basses -1/4-inch and Speakon™ Output Connectors -Made In Canada Due to its weight I am advertising it as pickup only, however I could deliver within 20 miles of Melton Mowbray for delivery or meet up. I am also driving down to Somerset next weekend (29th April) so potentially could drop it off en route, if this is of interest please get in touch and we can discuss whether this is a possibility. If you have any questions at all please contact me. Edited May 20, 2016 by lloyd1979_uk
discreet Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Good grief, it's the Mother of all Heft!! I really wish my hip flexors were working, I'd have this. But I'd be afeared for my guts every time I tried to pick it up. Fantastic twelve-banger and a thing of beauty. Good luck with the sale.
Mykesbass Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Always fancied one of these - totally broke though, so have a bump on me.
ryancowell25 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I had one of these for a while Absolutely brilliant amps and more portable than you'd imagine. Quite special once the tubes had warmed up and clean headroom for days. You can bias the thing with a small flat head screwdriver as well I miss mine.
AndrewJordan Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I'll be passing through your way in a couple of weeks. If you still have it I may be tempted!
RhysP Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Now this is my kind of amp. Shame I'm not playing anymore.
lloyd1979_uk Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Thank you for all the positive comments people As has been mentioned it's actually not too heavy for a valve amp..... Ideally I'm after a straight sale, however if anyone has any trade offers please let me know (I'm particularly after a Hofner Violin Bass Contemporary Series). If you're passing though this way just let me know Andrew, you're most welcome to come and give it a try.
badboy1984 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 23kg is not that bad. The Ashdown LB30 (CTM30) i had before weight 11kg and can carry with one hand. This should be pretty easy to manage with one person.
Twincam Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 If this had been in the north east this would have been mine.
discreet Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016
23kg is not that bad. This should be pretty easy to manage with one person.
True, especially if that person is prepared to carry your amp.
