Hey gang!

I've just got back from a couple of gigs at Costa Del Folk in Mallorca.

Lots of fun and lovely weather, but incredibly hard work (honest).

We were supposed to close the show on the Saturday night, but the desk decided to blue-screen during the Oysterband's set, and it lost our config (cheers, Digico!).

Instead, the Oysterband soldiered on through a slightly elongated set, and we were moved to close the Sunday night instead. Only problem was, we were also playing on the Sunday afternoon in a slightly different config under a different name (it's complicated).

So we had to do ANOTHER check on Sunday morning, then a gig on the afternoon, then rip it all up and reset it at tea-time, then do the show at 11pm, finishing at 12:30am. Then go and pack, ready for the 7:15am bus to the airport the next morning.

Knackered, but wouldn't have missed it for anything.

Here's some pics:

I used to find it a bit of a let down doing the first gig on home turf after the fun and excitement of a foreign gig/tour. Anyone else?

I've been following Mike Harding's coverage of that... looks like a great gig from a punter's point of view, must be a blast to play!

Nice one! Love foreign gigs. Always seems to be the way that you never have enough time off while abroad - I guess a promoter/manager sees it as a loss to put the band up an extra night early or whatever.
