Changing a Jazz bass pickguard

Have you tried [url="http://www.highlystrung.net/acatalog/Pickguards__electric_guitar.html"]Highly Strung?[/url] Those Jazz pickguards are the perfect size for an MIM Jazz, screw holes line up perfectly and everything. I've got one on my Jazz just now, and it cost me all of a fiver.

I didn't know that site, so thanks for the link.

I'm looking for an MIA replacement though not MIM.

It's the only one I've seen that doesn't seem to have a problem. I guess I'll find out.

Having said that both my girls love the G&L.

I'm starting to appreciate the G&L - I've changed the flats for the Rounds which is more to my liking.
I vastly prefer the neck to the DJ5 I had, the B isn't quite as 'tight' but it still sounds well. I think I still have a preference for the SR5 neck profile (but thats the only area I think it scores over the G&L for me) but despite the depth of the G&L it still feels comfortable, I'll see how I go on during a long gig.

Have you had much of a chance to gig the Jazz - it was crying out for some action with a band that would appreciate it?

Not gigged it yet but it's number one choice in my new slightly acoustic band - well the guitars are amplified acoustics and the drummer has been told to use brushes - and I am slowly becoming the master of glissando.
