That's a crackin' idea, naming all the instruments & DAW used. It's good to know what people are using. I think I might follow in your footsteps with that one & hope many others do too.

Hoooray!
This months' effort started as a meandering mix of sounds and keyboardy noise but, (we was gettin' nowhere,so Charlie and me.....) has ended up with some sort of structure !

I really wanted to enter this months' competition, only because it was last May that I entered into this malarkey for the first time... and I've thoroughly enjoyed it !!

Anyhow.. We're in..

Here's my entry for this month. It's a bit of a rush job I'm afraid - I've started a new job this week so I can't spare much time to get this composition as tight as I'd like. It's a shame really cos I think it had some potential. If I have time I will have another go at mixing and mastering it.

It seems I had a similar idea to Nigel (nice track btw!) with a dystopian future ending in a rebellion of sorts.

Here's mine, mixed & mastered.

I may go back for a further bit of mixing & mastering if I get time.

I'm in , I have a lot on at the moment so it is a simple entry from me , I am sure it could have done with a bit more time on it but needs must as they say .

A late and rushed entry for me. Somewhat of a departure from my normal style, I've definitely gone for the sound-canvas and thrown lots of metaphorical paint at it . . .

Using about 6 different sounds from Camel's Alchemy VSTi and some vocal FX from Izotope's Nectar Elements. And a confession - there is no bass guitar on the track. Is that grounds for automatic disqualification?

Enjoy!

I've managed to get mine a little better. I wasn't completely happy with the lead sound, so I've stuck a little dirt on it & added a 2nd instrument & mixed things a little better.

Looking forward to listening to everyone's tracks next week. :)

Not many basses in this month's entries so far!
I've finally made a start - been busy with a new band who can't quite decide if it's funk, jazz or experimental noise it wants to produce. It's a mixture so far!
Anyway, y'al'll be pleased to hear mine's got bass, and no brooding future-synths, just a sense of oddness and some Tibetan roaring...
Hopefully ready by Monday!

Here I come skidding with my entry for the month..If I had to defuse bombs for a living i guarantee it would not be done in a timely fashion, (if at all !)

I've been thoroughly enjoying everyone's entries this month. I might even have been listening to some on repeat!

Looking forward to the voting tomorrow! (and perhaps, a few more pieces done by souls tardier than me ? )

Thought I'd go for a bit of oddness this month!

Err, so was it the blue wire or the red wire? Did I mention that I'm colorblind?

Hoping to finish something tonight. And hopefully start it too :D This will mean doing so once my lad has fallen asleep, whilst he and I are camping in the garden. I might also tie one hand behind my back for good measure.

Have something very Vangelis in my head, so if it ends up sounding 10% of that then I'll be happy.

Voting will commence sometime tomorrow.

Ok I’m done.

I’m minding the kids this week (more like zookeeping than parenting) and had a two hour window of opportunity whilst the smaller one was snoozing and the larger one was glued to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…

It’s as rough as a badger’s arse, but it’ll do! :D Mixed using ear buds on my laptop, so I’ve no idea how it really sounds - and in hindsight it was probably a bad idea to include a load of sub-bass. But heh.

It’s supposed to be a sort of tribute to Vangelis’ work on Bladerunner (especially the synths during the second half). At least that’s the vibe I was aiming for. That and some John Carpenter thrown in for good measure.
