SwamiRob
Looking to get a new gig bag, as the one I have is pretty uncomfortable due to the straps having some weird link at the top and my basses not actually sitting on my back fully when I'm carrying them, and also the fact that it has worn about as much is humanly possible with it still being in 1 piece. Don't mind spending a bit of money for something quality, but certainly don't have 150 quid for a mono or owt like that, something around 50 tops would be ideal. Like the idea of a soft harcase or whatever they're commonly referred to, where there is a solid element to the case but it's still pretty much a gig bag, but again haven't seen anything like that so far that isn't mega expensive. Any good recommendations? Edited May 2, 2016 by SwamiRob
RickyV
This recent thread might give you a few ideas.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/283461-mid-price-gig-bags/page__fromsearch__1
Oopsdabassist
I've got one of the Thomann bags from that other thread http://www.thomann.de/gb/thomann_premium_gigbag_e_bass_br.htm I have to say for 25 odd quid it is brilliant, well padded, a variety of straps to carry it with, and feels really good quality! Go for it!!
JTUK
The thoimann bag is a lot of bag for the money, IMO. Easily beats the Warwick ...in fact, it is in another league. IMO. I'd be happy to have paid £49 for it... but I didn't have to.

Truckstop
Yeah I've had mine for 5 years now and still in great nick. However, they're terrible to wear on your back. The straps are thin and weedy and they're not designed very well all for the purposes of wearing on your back. For something that you'll wear a lot you need to spend more money. Padded straps, back support etc all cost money.
SwamiRob
Ended up splashing out (by my standards) on a protection racket, 60 quid, a tiny bit cumbersome but not excessively so, and pretty comfy, seems solid as anything and really pleased with it.
