i have an original akai 9v power supply, which came with an Akai deep impact. would be great for somebody wanting to boost the value of their deep impact or unibass if they dont already have the original supply. its as new, and is all good. of course, it can be used with normal boss type power supply pedals, it's 200ma.

no idea what its worth tbh, so any help would be appreciated

cheers

This will be useful to Deep Impact owners not getting the best from their pedal at the moment. I found mine sounded significantly better with the original power supply.

How did it sound better?

(this isn’t a loaded question because I know that some power supplies are ‘noisy’ or aren’t as efficient with grounding the circuits than other power supplies, so it’s a genuine question and not just me being pedantic :))

It sounds like mystic-ju-ju and I don't normally ever buy into "this 9v is better than that 9v", BUT i found my Deep Impact to be much more reliable when used with the original PSU rather than daisy chained or powered with a pedal power 2.

I can attest to this. I've had my Deep Impact just cut out on me before - Power lights stayed on, but no sound. Plugged it in with it's original supply and - Bingo.

Though it's ran perfectly on my Burkley Flatliner - I haven't had any trouble while using this unit.

All the Akai pedals ship with the same supply I think? I had one that came with a Unibass that was exactly the same as the one that came with my Deep Impact.

the unibass and deep impact have the same supply, the others didnt come with power supplies as far as i know as they had batteries, not sure what the headrush comes with
