I got this in a recent trade as I thought I would give 5 string a go again. Alas, I'm a dye in the wool four stringer so no point in keeping her. It is a fantastic bass that is in great condition (just two minor dings that are difficult to photograph). Plays great with such a nice neck for a five stringer, and sounds awesome. Comes with fitted case and strung with a brand new set of Elixir 45 - 130.

Just been watching Ed Friedland's glowing review of this bass on YouTube - do the A.R.E. and I.R.A. manufacturing processes really make the tone and clarity as noticeably clear and consistent as Yamaha claim?

All I can say is that the bass is extremely resonant and 'alive'. My original '62 P Bass have these characteristics so whatever the reason it is an excellent sounding bass

That is stunning. One of my dream basses. I just missed out on the opportunity to buy one of these about 3 years ago. If I had the money, I would be on my way, right now. Gutted I will miss out on one again. Good luck with the sale but, keep it, you might regret selling this beauty :)
