BassMunkee
Me. Or if you want something good - try anything by a band called Rothko, or Cocteau Twins, Chris Wolstenhome [sp] uses some pretty funky stuff too.
markytbass
I'm not really big on effects but have heard Flea with that envelope filter quacky thing. Also Geezer Butler on N.I.B with that heavy flangey overdirven whaa sound, or Phil Lynott with a flange sound on Waiting For an Alibi. fekalizatorius
Hey, I have a Zoom B2 for my bass, and from my experience to get a nice rock`y / black sabbath-like heavy, you should try a chorus/octave combo with a minimal amount of distortion - that gives off a very nice, clear sound. johnnylager
For fuzz, check out Jared Warren of the band that goes through bassists like Spinal Tap do drummers - The Melvins. Saw 'em last night and he had a stereo rig of Marshall JCM800 bass head into a 4x12 and a GK head into an 8x10 lying on the floor. Nice sunburst Jazz, but I couldn't get near enough the pedalboard to see it, as the bass drum coming out of the subs kept pushing me back. Thank god for ER20's.
