GS64
Hi. Am thinking of combining a Fender Rumble 500 head with a Markbass 102 cab, eventually adding another cab too. Any thoughts on this setup? Cheers😀
Lozz196
Markbass cabs are nice, sound good with a Precision - imo of course - but they do have a high-end roll-off. So if you`re intending on DI-ing to FOH, what you hear on-stage will be a lot less trebly than what goes through the PA. So vice-versa, you on-stage get a good meaty sound, audience get rubber bands. I found this, and it`s one of the reasons I gave up my Markbass set-up. That said, if not going FOH then I see no issues,.
GS64
So any suggestions on fairly lightweight cabs around same price as Markbass?
bonzodog
Why not match the rumble head with some rumble cabs? I have 2 of the 112 cabs and am very happy with sound although I put a hartke LH500 through them. Nice and light too
Norris
The combo sounds great with 2x10 plus horn and weighs next to nothing. I'd be tempted to try the Rumble cabs if I had a separate head. There was a new 1x15 cab up for sale recently
bonzodog
Rumble cabs have a switchable horn and there are also indents on the top for the feet of the rumble head to sit in
