phil.c60
Following on from the recent Food Fighterz thread, just been listening to the radio and these came up: "The Chippies - an alternative Carpenters tribute" "Flabba - an overweight Abba tribute" and "Billy Noel - my Christmas solo act". I also seem to recall a Take Fat - inlcuding a "Blobby Williams" on a certain TV progamme a while ago! There must be more, surely....... Mykesbass
I've always fancied the idea of a Yiddish Eagles tribute the Shmeagles. And turning the Chippies on their heads, could The Electricians be a tribute to Sparks?
Earbrass
I remember a "klezmer heavy metal" band, with comedians Jim Tavare on bass and Al Murray on drums, called Guns and Moses, if that counts.
crez5150
Due to the amount of kebabs and currys we eat when touring I said we she change our bands name to Arse Wind & Fire

operative451
I wanted to start a Band called 'Manilow Manson', which did Barry Manilow songs in the style of Marilyn Manson. I actually recorded a version of 'Can't smile without you' which sounded slightly terrifying! I think somewhere there's a metal version of 'Mandy' which is pretty epic...
