jay42 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Hi folks I'm after a little technical advice! I don't even know if this is possible but I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this. I am really taken with the Ashdown Superfly amp with the programmable settings, MIDI control etc but I am aware that although the pre-amp section is very impressive, the power amp section leaves a lot to be desired in terms of on-stage volume and also the fact that is has 2 x 250W power amp sections requiring two 4 Ohm cabs to even get full power. My query is this; is there any way of taking a line out from the Superfly pre-amp section and connecting it to the power amp section of the Ashdown ABM 500RC EVO III that I use on stage thus using the Superfly as pre-amp only and using the ABM 500 as a power amp? Could this be done via using the FX Loop Send (which I think could also be used as a pre-amp out??) from the Superfly and connecting it to the FX Loop Return on the ABM 500? I apologise if this is slightly confusing but I'd be extremely interested in knowing if this is possible as I'd love to use this set-up in my rig! Many thanks in advance! Jay Quote
MoonBassAlpha Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I think that should work ok *caveat- I don't have either of these bits of kit!* Quote
