Norris
Have a look at ProjectGuitar.com They have a fret finder app that will calculate your fret positions for you and produce a pdf template if you want. There are also lots of build diaries with plenty of pictures (including the Telecaster guitar I'm building) - where lots of people have cut their fret slots using various techniques
PlungerModerno
"the sides are at angels" Do you mean they are heavenly beings? That the sides of the neck aren't 90 degrees to the edge of the fretboard? Or that the scale length is "angled" e.g. like the Dingwall / Novax "fanned fret" system? I'd recommend a template sized and slotted to the desired scale or scales - the simplest I've seen is the "mitre box" style: See http://www.gmcbasses.co.uk/GMCBasses/BASS6Diary4.htm for the rest of the pics & some advice on preparing for a fret job.
