Unless I am looking at the picture wrong, it looks to be for a left handed bass? Quite an important omission from the description if that is the case!

Nah, id say it looks right handed. Thick string up the top

I guess it depends on which way the tail piece is fitted, I would have thought the pointy bit would face backwards making it left handed...if you get my drift!
