Guest MoJo
When I was buying my TC Electronic BG250 in PMT, someone else was trying out a Roland Bass Cube 120XL. It was bigger than I had imagined and sounded pretty loud. Has anyone gigged with one and would one be up to gigging in a 3-piece pub band without PA support? grandad
I used a BC100 for a couple of years for pub's and WMC's. Roland watts are pretty loud. Good amps, not light. I use a TCE BG250 208 now. It projects well off stage but the Roland was louder.
M@23
I gigged one, when I broke my leg and couldn't cart my own rig to gigs! I borrowed this off the guitarist. It was a 120XL I believe. It was good, used it without PA at two smaller gigs and with PA support on NYE at a big function. I did have to push it hard, they're not cheap and if you don't need the effects you can probably find a more suitable combo for gigging without PA support. For acoustic bands it'd be OK but did struggle against even a small kit played with brushes.
