fretmeister Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Do they exist? I've had Snarks and the little Planet Waves thing - but all seem to be awful on the B. Are there any that work? Quote
Happy Jack Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Intellitune. But in general terms, for a Low B you should always tune against the 12th fret harmonic - you'll get much better results. Quote
Huge Hands Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) I find my Snark SN8 works ok on low B? I use it on my guitars and my NXT EUB with no problems? At worst, sometimes on the NXT I have to be careful where I place it on the headstock to get the low B (i.e. on the B/E side), but it's usually fine. Edited May 27, 2016 by Huge Hands Quote
DarkHeart Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I got a couple of cheap ones from China `Eno` or something that work better with my low B than my korg pedal! Quote
Billy Apple Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I've had results with the Planet Waves when I've moved it around the headstock. Quote
ricksterphil Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Polytune clip is the best clip on tuner I've used - very accurate I sometimes have problems with it picking up low e but I just tune on the 12th fret harmonic Only play 4 string so no experience of low B On a guitar, the polytune is so much more accurate than the Snark type it almost feels like a new guitar Quote
ricksterphil Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 There's one for sale in other musically related stuff Quote
Bobthedog Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Polytune clip on. Works perfectly for me on both of my fives' B string. Quote
barneyg42 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Polytune clip again, have a 5-string headless (low B)so clip it on to the volume knob, works a treat!! Quote
